"I'm looking forward to having braces because I can't wait till my teeth are better and I can smile in public.  I first found out I needed braces when I was year 6.  I am now year 10.
I am doing my community work at City Vets where I clean cages, wash dishes, do washing etc.  This is my way of giving back to the community.

I think after I have braces I will feel excited, happy and more confident.  I know that having braces means having to take really good care of them, in order to end with a good result."

"Hi I'm 12 years old.  I am year 8 at Ashhurst School.  My interests are bike riding, scootering and playstation games.  I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and especially like helping Grandad.

The main reason for wanting braces is to straighten my teeth.  Because I have a small jaw, my teeth are crowded with two of my teeth sitting behind the others.  It is hard to clean my teeth, with food getting caught between the two rows.  A dentist has told me that my bite also needs fixing so that my teeth don't grind together and wear down.

I will complete my community service working with animals either with the SPCA or a pet store.  I'm looking forward to this opportunity.  As well as helping the community, this will help with my independence and confidence.

Thank you for this opportunity to get braces.  I feel that having straight teeth will improve my smile and boost my confidence."
